I have a friend
A friend that cries, and she cries a lot, she cries (too much)
She knows that her tears are not going to solve anything
She knows that crying is not a solution for her pain
But she still cries
I watch her crying, I watch her misery and ask myself what
could I do
What do you do when you don’t know what to do?
You be a friend, you stay there, until she decides to be
happy again
And she will decide that, I know her, I know my friend
But for now I’m here sitting next to her, listening the
little sounds she does when she cries
I reach her tissues, I bring her water, I answer her “why,
why, why”s
But I fell that her pain will be only be put in silence one
day
But will not go away
What she found she never had, and what she found is not
going to come true
So I know why she is crying
What she calls "all" was just few hours
What she calls "all" were a couple of kisses
What she calls "all" was a perfect first (and last) date
What she calls "all" was a connection that she never had
before
And now is gone
She made him understand that he still wants the other girl
That has gave him the same for many occasions, many perfect
dates, many nights
More then kisses, more then few hours
Calm down my dear friend, come here, cry and when you get
tired
(for tonight)
(for today)
Of crying
Let’s go out, walk, talk, laugh
Life is short and that is what it is about: love, laugh,
win, lose, cry and this all, always with your friends around
Come with me; let’s try not be sad all the time, not too
much, not too little
Let’s drink tonight not too little, let’s be happy not too
little
Give me your hand, get your purse, lipstick on
You’re gorgeous, his loss
I love you, we all love you, and I’m here for you.
Have you favorite shoe
He doesn’t have a clue how happy he could be with you
You, my friend that I love and care.
So don’t over do
For now just do what I ask
Tonight you have a task:
Have a broken heart
Have a shaken soul
Hold my hand
And together we are passing this toll
